Coventry City pulled off one of the biggest shocks in FA Cup history by coming from behind to beat Manchester United 3-2 in the semi-final at Wembley Stadium.

The League Two side took the lead through Luke Thomas in the first half, but United hit back with goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to take a 2-1 lead.

However, Coventry refused to give up and equalised through Jodi Jones in the 89th minute.

The game went to extra-time and Coventry completed the comeback when Viktor Gyökeres scored the winner in the 115th minute.

The victory sends Coventry to the FA Cup final for the first time since 1931, where they will face Manchester City.

It was a remarkable comeback from Coventry, who had been written off by many before the game.

But they showed great spirit and determination to overcome a much-fancied Manchester United side.

Coventry's manager, Mark Robins, was delighted with his team's performance.

"I'm so proud of the players," he said. "They showed great character and resilience to come back from behind and win the game.

"This is a massive result for the club and the city of Coventry."

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, was disappointed with his team's performance.

"We didn't play well enough today," he said. "We made too many mistakes and we didn't take our chances.

"We're disappointed to lose the game, but we have to learn from our mistakes and move on."
